IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Centre for Youth Community and Development (CYCD) recognizes the invaluable contribution of volunteers as catalysts for social change, both locally and internationally. We wholeheartedly welcome individuals who choose to dedicate their time and skills to community service without financial compensation. If you are considering joining our program team in Cameroon, please take note of the following before submitting your application:

1. Integral Team Member:

• As a volunteer, you are an integral part of our team.
• While the position is unpaid, you enjoy the full rights and responsibilities accorded to any team member within our organization.

2. Flexibility and Personal Projects:

• We encourage volunteers to be flexible and practical in their approach.
• Consider implementing a personal project aligned with the organization’s overarching goals.
• Our management team is ready to collaborate with you in shaping and executing your project.

3. Diverse project exposure:

• Throughout your service, we will introduce you to various local partner organizations.
• This exposure allows you to engage in different projects and explore various locations.

4. Logistics Support:

• The organization takes care of airport transfers to the project location.
• Transportation to all project-related activities is also our responsibility.
• While volunteers manage their subsistence, we offer periodic assistance when feasible.

5. Duration and Eligibility:

• Commit to a minimum stay of two months, whether as an individual, family, or group.
• Each participant must be at least 19 years old.
