HUMANITARIAN ASISTANCE

Since 2019, responding to persistent calls and community requests, CYSD-Cameroon initiated the Humanitarian Response program, a leading initiative dedicated to identifying and aiding Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and their host communities. Currently, the comprehensive program spans 11 IDP host communities, actively engaged in rebuilding affected areas. From 2019 to the present, the program has positively impacted 410 women, ,371 affected children and orphans, with 186 families benefiting from educational and basic health support. The program encompasses a range of activities, including;

• Provide food and non-food items to internally displaced families,
• Offering support to pregnant women and orphans,
• Delivering psychosocial support and counselling to victims of violence and marginalization,
• Enrolling displaced children in schools within host communities,
• conducting free vocational training for women and youths who lost their livelihoods
• supporting affected families through sustainable agriculture.
