Human Rights and Governance

Guided by our mission  CYSD is dedicated to creating a world where everyone, regardless of gender or background, can fully realize their rights and contribute to sustainable development.

• Advocating Against Violence Towards Women and Girls in Cameroon: Implementing initiatives to combat gender-based violence and raise awareness on the rights and safety of women and girls.
• Engaging Traditional Authorities to Uphold the Rights of Women and Girls: Collaborating with cultural leaders to promote gender equity and advocate for the protection of women and girls within their communities.
• Strengthening the Capacities of Local Organizations and Civil Society Groups in Human Rights, Governance, and Advocacy: Enhancing the skills and knowledge of local groups and CSOs to lead initiatives in human rights, good governance, and community-based counselling.
• Eliminating Gender-Based Violence and Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR): Leading efforts to eradicate all forms of GBV and advocating for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health rights for women and girls.
• Advocating Against Unsafe Abortion and Stigmatization: Campaigning to end unsafe abortion practices and fighting against the stigma associated with abortion to protect the health and dignity of women.
• Securing Political and Economic Rights for Women Through Strategic Advocacy: Advancing the political and economic empowerment of women by driving policy change and fostering inclusive decision-making processes.
• Promoting Civic Education and Patriotism Among Youth: Engaging young people in civic education programs and nurturing patriotism to build responsible and active citizens committed to national development and social cohesion.
