The Social and Economic Empowerment Initiative outlined in this action plan is dedicated to fostering a range of activities that benefit local communities while creating pathways to self-reliance for marginalized women, youth, and indigenous individuals. This program places a strong emphasis on promoting cost-effective solutions aimed at poverty alleviation. The initiative includes several key projects, such as:

Intensive Vocational Training:
Each year, this initiative provides comprehensive vocational training to at least 50 women and youth in the following fields:

• Information & Technology 

• Electronics and repairs,

• Fashion & design,

• Hairdressing,

• Building and Construction

With a commitment to supporting at least 50% of trainees in establishing microenterprises post-training, CYSD-Cameroon actively collaborates with private business training centers to ensure that marginalized women, youth, and indigenous individuals receive the necessary training. Looking ahead, CYSD aims to develop its own facilities to transform these training programs into fully-fledged vocational training schools. The ultimate goal is to empower marginalized women and youth across Cameroon, enabling them to achieve social and economic independence.
