___KNOW ABOUT US
We are a community-based Organization
Centre for Youth and Sustainable Development was founded in 2019 as a non-profit community-based organisation. Our organization was founded to combat the high rate of secondary school dropout among young boys and girls in the Munyenge community. This alarming trend contributes to elevated rates of early pregnancy and childbearing among teenage girls, gender-based violence as well as increased susceptibility to drug abuse among young males.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture minds and shape the future by fostering community regeneration and transformation.
Our Vission
Our vission is to empower communities through opportunities and sustainable development. by fostering innovation, promoting inclusivity, and supporting long-term growth
CYSD carries its mission on behalf of its members by;
- Advocating for return to school in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon and addressing secondary school dropout rate by improving students reading proficiency in rural communities.
- Acting as an advocate for human rights, Gendar base Violence and Promotes Civic Education.
- Providing a forum for dialogue and exchange among local communities to share ideas, learn, and support each other’s efforts.
