___KNOW ABOUT US
We Reduce School Dropouts & Tackle Social Issues.
The Centre for Youth and Sustainable Development, established in 2019, is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to addressing critical educational challenges in the Muyuka subdivision. Our organization was founded in response to the crisis impacting Cameroon’s Northwest and Southwest regions, which has led to widespread school closures and hindered access to education for children aged 5 to 17. In the Munyenge communities, this disruption has significantly increased secondary school dropout rates among boys and girls due to low reading proficiency. This concerning trend has also contributed to higher rates of teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, and a growing vulnerability to drug abuse among young men. Through our work, we aim to mitigate these issues by promoting access to education and fostering sustainable community development.
